Title: Sr. Business Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

This position is responsible for functions on projects of moderate to high complexity by working with business partners within multiple business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies; eliciting, documenting, and refining business requirements for the IT organization; serving as a liaison across multiple facets of the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs; leveraging an informed knowledge of business areas to identify and/or resolve problems on an ongoing basis.

Your Role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
Define and document business, and non-functional requirements using appropriate documentation techniques to describe statements of the goals, objectives, or needs of a particular stakeholder or group of stakeholders
Translate high-level business requirements into specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications
Obtain consensus by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation
Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures

Requirements

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Proficient with MS Office, MS Visio, PowerPoint
Experience with Requirements Management solutions
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in systems development life cycle
Experience in both waterfall and agile environments
Experience extracting business requirements via JAD sessions, etc.
Experience creating Functional Specifications, Process Flows, Use Cases and other analysis deliverables
Experience creating and executing test scenarios and conditions
Experience with Clearing Applications
Experience with Enterprise Risk Management
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent professional experiences
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND BEHAVIORS REQUIRED

SDLC - Systems Development Life Cycle
Waterfall and Agile development environments
Experience extracting business requirements via JAD sessions, etc.
Experience creating Functional Specifications, Process Flows, Use Cases and other analysis deliverables
Experience creating and executing test scenarios and conditions
